Please confirm your products match every criteria: 

  1. All products are curated, designed and/or handmade by me with the majority of production outsourced to suppliers located within Australia;

  2. No products designed are overseasI acknowledge the quality of product is important, such as design, technique and finish;

  3. My products have artistic innovation, uniqueness or original design;

  4. I acknowledge selection will be made to maintain a balance of products represented at the market; 

  5. My products are not Candles* (candles are currently on hold);

  6. My products are not Jewellery* (jewellery is currently on hold);

  7. I will present goods appropriately and well in a market context, including the quality of presentation and packaging;

  8. I will use a suitable marquee for outdoor weather with a minimum wind rating of 70km/hI have the ability to sustain the quality of work over time.

St Kilda Esplanade Market Charity Guidelines

The St Kilda Esplanade Market endeavours to support charitable and not-for-profit organisations by providing fundraising areas for collections (at no charge). St Kilda Esplanade Market Authority will consider requests by charitable organisations on a case-by-case basis for special occasions and ad-hoc bookings. 

Access to the market for charitable organisations will be offered, subject to:

  • Alignment with St Kilda Esplanade Market brand and values 

  • Agreed market trading terms and conditions 

  • Agreed charity collections stall within the Market 

  • Collections are limited to one charity and not-for-profit organisation per week.

Bookings will be considered for approval on:

  • A case-by-case scenario

  • Special occasions considered relevant to our Market community (i.e. badge days, awareness raising).

Bookings may not be approved: 

  • Periodically or on a repeat basis

  • For signature collecting for petition purposes

  • For political or religious causes

  • For raffle ticket selling

  • For sales of any products.

Performance power acknowledgement

Public Liability Insurance

General Public Liability for standard Art and Craft Makers and Information stalls are covered by the St Kilda Esplanade Market and included as part of your trading permit. 

However, insurance is required if you sell any of the below items. You must have in place a Public and Product Liability Policy with a minimum of $20 million coverage in the your name if you offer for sale any of the products listed below: 

  • Food and consumable products. 

  • Cosmetics and Beauty products.

  • Medicines, Potions, Oils, Fragrances and Soaps. 

A copy of your insurance Product Liability Policy and/or Certificate of Currency must be uploaded as part of your application. 

It will be your responsibility as a stallholder to ensure your insurance is renewed and remains current for the duration of your trading activity at the Market.

Booking date

First booking date

The Sunday date you select will be invoiced to you with your application approval and trading permit.Selected date must be no less than two weeks from this application date. 

 A ONE OFF ADMIN FEE WILL BE CHARGE AT OF $30 

 Our Booking Cancelation Policy

The stallholder accepts and understands the following: 

  • Bookings are considered confirmed upon email request for dates. 

  • Once invoiced there is no refund offered to date changes. 

Our cancellation policy for casual stallholders is as follows: 

  • Emails received at least 14 days before the market date, will receive a credit to move that on to another market. 

  • Emails received between 8 - 13 days before the market date, will receive a credit to move that on to another market, however, a $30 admin cancellation fee will apply.

  • Emails received within the week leading up to the market, there is no credit available. The invoice must be paid.

Selected date must be between two and six weeks from this application date.

Code of Conduct

The management of the St Kilda Esplanade Market is committed to ensuring stallholders and market staff are able to operate in an environment free from harassment by creating a Code of Conduct outlining acceptable behavior and defining unacceptable practices which will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Data privacy and collection

The personal information requested on this form is being collected by the City of Port Phillip (CoPP) and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014. This information will be used solely by the council for that primary purpose or directly related purposes. It will be treated in compliance with the CoPP Information Privacy Policy and the Information Privacy Act.
