Safety Induction - Performers/Artists



This form must be completed by the person listed in the Contact Details section. 

You cannot complete this induction form on behalf of another person.

By completing this Induction, you confirm you shall be aware of the site safety requirements and obligations that exist for all personnel and confirm thatyou will abide by these during your engagement for St Kilda Festival.

Upon successful completion an induction receipt will be sent to your nominated email address and a copy of the receipt will also be sent to the St Kilda Festival Safety & Accreditation Administrator. For any enquiries regarding your Safety Induction please email skfsafety@portphillip.vic.gov.au.

It is a condition of entry for all personnel to carry this induction receipt whilst onsite. Please keep the confirmation email on your mobile phone or aprinted copy and carry it with you at all times onsite. 

You must produce this induction receipt when requested to by any St Kilda Festival authorized officer or Festival Area Warden / Site Manager. 

Note: If an inductee is unable to access the online induction portal, they will be able to attend the St Kilda Festival Office and complete an onlineinduction.

All inductions are required to be completed by no later than Monday 2nd February 2026.

It is important that this Safety Induction is understood. 

Please advise your manager if your primary language is not English so that alternative arrangements can be made.

YOUR DETAILS


BULLYING & HARRASSMENT

St Kilda Festival will have an event-wide Harassment Policy in operation. A Hotline, manned by the Event Operations Centre (EOC) Staff, will allow realtime incident response, with the EOC able to deploy resources as required. 

Please utilise these resources if you witness any unacceptable behaviour. 

Bullying, harassment, and inappropriate language will not be tolerated under any circumstances. 

All Staff, Suppliers, Vendors and Contractors should treat each other with respect


CARS, VEHICLES, TRAFFIC & PARKING

Vehicles must travel at a speed limit of no more than 10kph (or walking pace) with hazard lights or yellow flashing beacons operating at all times duringthe event including the bump in/out phases. It is a condition on entry that all vehicles used on site require the operator to hold a current Australian Driver’s license. 

Road Traffic laws apply onsite and vehicles should be registered where required and the appropriate license held in accordance with law. 

Please ensure that you: 

  • Carry licenses with you at all times on site.

  • Stay alert to pedestrians, cyclists and mobile plant equipment at all times.

  • Avoid driving vehicles through crowds.

  • Park only in allocated areas and do not block access to gates, entry points, etc.

  • Display your Vehicle Accreditation Pass and site contact number clearly on the dashboard at all times.

Please note: Illegal parking will be infringed and where a vehicle restricts access that vehicle may be moved at the owner’s expense. 

St Kilda Festival road closures will be in place from 3:00am Sunday 15 February until 1:00am Monday 16 February. No access will beallowed during this period without an appropriate Vehicle Access Pass. 

Please also note that on Sunday 15 February Beach Road will be closed from 4:30am for Carmen's Run.


EMERGENCY EVACUATION

In the event that the ECC determines an Evacuation is necessary, they will call a Code Orange on radio communications which will be communicated toyou by the Area Warden.

Prior to evacuating, all personnel (suppliers and contractors) should: 

  • Assist security to escort patrons to the applicable assembly point and await the Area Warden.

  • Assist any persons with a disability, either to the assembly point or to find a Place of Safe Refuge.

  • Notify the Area Warden if someone is in a Place of Safe Refuge so they can be assisted by Emergency Services.

  • Await the all-clear at the Assembly Area – DO NOT return to the site until advised it is safe to do so.


FIRST AID

In the event of an injury, follow these steps: 

1. Quickly assess the situation and call 000 if you deem the medical emergency to be serious. 

2. Alert Area Warden and advise that you have contacted 000. 

3. Render assistance to patient if able until First Aiders arrive, then assist if required


DRUGS & ALCOHOL

No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs may be brought onto site, or consumed prior to commencing work. 

Please remember that: 

  • Working under the influence of these substances is prohibited.

  • Persons under the influence will be required to leave the site.

  • Illegal drug use will be reported to police.

The St Kilda Festival precinct is an “Alcohol Free Zone” with the exception of designated licensed areas. Any illegal drug use will bereported to police. 


SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited in:

  • All structures.

  • Undercover or enclosed areas.

  • Temporary marquees.

  • Within vehicles and on plant.

  • On stages, dressing rooms, catering areas, including public seating areas.

  • An area within 3 metres of flammable gas or fuels and where specific hazards exist.

  • Within 10 metres of a temporary food structure.

Please observe all “No Smoking “signs, use ashtrays to discard of cigarette butts and consider others when smoking in any areas of the site.


CHILD SAFETY

St Kilda Festival precinct is a child safe area. If you have reasonable belief that the safety of a child is compromised:

  • Contact the ECC via Radio Channel 1 and give details for your concerns.

  • If the child is in immediate danger contact the police on 000

  • Victorian child safety legislation requires that, should a child disclose abuse to any adult, they are legally required to report this and should call 000 immediately.

DATA AND PRIVACY COLLECTION

The personal information requested on this form is being collected by the City of Port Phillip (CoPP) and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014. This information will be used solely by the council for that primary purpose or directly related purposes. It will be treated in compliance with the CoPP Information Privacy Policy and the Information Privacy Act.

SAFETY INDUCTION

By completing this Induction, you confirm you shall be aware of the site safety requirements and obligations that exist for all personnel and confirm thatyou will abide by these during your engagement for St Kilda Festival. 

Upon successful completion an induction receipt will be sent to your nominated email address and a copy of the receipt will also be sent to the St Kilda Festival Safety & Accreditation Administrator. 

It is a condition of entry for all personnel to carry this induction receipt whilst onsite. Once you have received your receipt by email, please print and signit and carry it with you at all times onsite. Alternatively you must be able to access it on your mobile phone for proof on request. 

You must produce this card when requested to by any St Kilda Festival authorized officer or Festival Area Warden / Site Manager. 

Note: If an inductee is unable to access the online induction portal, they will be able to attend the St Kilda Festival Office and complete an onlineinduction. 

All inductions are required to be completed by no later than Monday 2nd February 2026.
